Letter from the Mayor¶

Dear Citizen,

Congratulations on creating your character and officially stepping into the vibrant world of Los Santos! As your mayor, I'm thrilled to introduce you to the countless opportunities waiting for you. Whether you're here to work hard or play harder, the possibilities are endless.

Let’s start with a few essentials for your first day:

City Hall Awaits¶

Head over to City Hall to explore available jobs. You'll be paid $10 by the city periodically while you're unemployed to help you get by, but landing a job will earn you much more. Many jobs pay passively, but you'll earn even more if you actively participate—so jump in and make some money!

Create Your Own Business¶

Got big ideas? Whether it's opening a mechanic shop, running a restaurant, selling goods people need, or (though we don’t recommend this) participating in the black market, the city’s tools are here to support you. Dream it up, and we’ll make it happen. Just remember, we like taxes!

Get Around in Style¶

Once you've earned some cash, visit one of our fine dealerships to purchase your own vehicle. Want to make a bit of side income? Become an Uber driver by using your phone (F1 or from your inventory) to offer rides and rake in the tips.

Need a Lift?¶

Struggling to get around? Use your phone to check for Ubers, or if you’re really in a bind, type /taxi to summon a local driver.

Style Yourself¶

Drop by one of our many clothing stores to update your look. You've got to dress to impress in this city, after all.

Meet the People¶

Make sure to interact with your fellow citizens. Roleplay your way, shape your story, and become part of the city's dynamic fabric.

Before you get too carried away, here are a few things I highly recommend for your first day:

Get Your Credit Card¶

Visit the bank to grab your card so you can use the ATMs scattered throughout the city.

Explore and Spend¶

Spend your money wisely at our many stores, or don't—it's up to you!

Go Fishing¶

Fancy a peaceful escape? Grab some gear and fish wherever you like.

And while you’re working toward those big dreams, don’t forget:

You Need to Eat and Drink¶

Now that you're in Los Santos, you're going to get hungry and thirsty. The city has kindly provided you with 5 waters and 5 burgers to get started, but after that, you're on your own! Make sure to keep an eye on your needs, or things could get... uncomfortable.

Feeling Lucky?¶

Casino Fun¶

Hit the casino to try your hand at the many tables or spin the lucky wheel for a chance at big rewards (you can spin once a day!).

Play the Lotto¶

You can also grab a lottery ticket from any 24/7 store with a lotto sign. Who knows? You might strike it rich!

When You're Ready to Settle Down¶

Own a Home¶

Ready to move out of your starter apartment? You can view available properties by using /housing. Find your dream place and make it yours.

Lastly, a quick tip: use your third eye (left alt) to check out things closely in the city. It’s a game-changer!

Oh, and before I go, a friendly reminder: The police are watching , so make sure you stay on the right side of the law! Please don’t rob banks, ATMs, or stores—I hear that’s quite illegal (but seriously, don’t do it).
