Client Issues Guide

There are a few signs and reasons that will mean you want to clear your client cache before re-joining the server. We've listed some of them below, but this list is not exhaustive. Also be aware that you may need to clear your client caches after a large update to the server. If so, this will be communicated in Discord.

Signs you need to clear your cache

There are many possible indicators your local file cache is corrupted or incomplete, so we can't list them all, but here is a few indicators that are worth noting

  • Unexpected or missing collisions

Such as walking through walls, or you can't go through a door
  • Building interiors that don't load

If you can't see the interiors of dealerships, stores, etc.
  • UI Images/Icons not loading

If icons or images on the UI aren't visible to you, but others can see them
  • Other inconsistent errors Other random errors that are sporadic and don't happen persistently

How to clear your local cache

  1. Quit FiveM (ensure it is not running)
  2. Right Click FiveM and choose "Open File Location"
  3. Right Click FiveM and choose "Open File Location" again (yes, you need to do this twice usually)
  4. You should see "FiveM Application Data" as a snail icon
  5. Open this
  6. Choose "data"
  7. Delete "caches", "server-cache" and "server-cache-priv"
  8. Empty your recycle bin
  9. Restart FiveM.

Note: This will re-force a full download of all resources from the server, and your first load will take significantly longer than normal.

Still experiencing issues?

Check if you experience the same issue with another FiveM server.

If the issue persists, it's likely the issue is with FiveM or your device. FiveM has support guides for a lot of common issues, and offers ticket-based support as well.

If you find an issue with ImagineRP, please file a bug report in either discord, or (preferably) in game using the /report command.
